Two days of music, memories and generosity, and a record-breaking result! We’re delighted to announce that Outside25 raised £28,000 for charity at this year’s events, held on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 June 2026.
Hundreds of fans from across the UK and around the world came together in the gardens of Mill Cottage, George Michael’s former home in Goring-on-Thames. In the year marking ten years since George’s passing, it was an opportunity to celebrate his music, share memories and continue his spirit of giving.
Friday’s programme featured an intimate set specially put together for the evening by Steve Mitchell and Dave West, former Wham! bassist. Guests were invited to wear a touch of purple in George’s memory,
adding a shared tribute to an evening dedicated to his life and songs. The programme also included an auction and raffle, with George-related items, artwork and prizes, alongside food and a bar.
Saturday continued the celebrations with a special concert by Celebrating George Michael. George’s songs were at the heart of the occasion, bringing fans together in a place that meant so much to him.
There were personal contributions, too. Video messages from George’s friends and colleagues included Andrew Ridgeley, drummer Carlos Hercules and Midge Ure, who shared memories of Band Aid. Andrew also donated one of his commemorative Royal Mint coins for auction. Across the two days, singing, dancing and laughter sat alongside quieter moments of remembrance.
The result is something we’re incredibly proud to share. We are pleased to donate the money raised this year to:
- NSPCC/Childline
- Samaritans
- Friends of Streatley School
- Goring Library
- Electric Umbrella
- My Cancer My Choices
- St Thomas of Canterbury Church
- Goring Free Church
- And three charities supported by Andrew Ridgeley
Supporting these organisations means the generosity shown at Outside25 will reach well beyond the event itself, helping charities and community organisations continue their valuable work.
Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who attended, donated, contributed prizes or helped behind the scenes. We are especially grateful to the owners of Mill Cottage, our performers and the volunteers whose time and commitment made the celebrations possible.
Above all, thank you to the fans. Your love for George and your willingness to give made this record-breaking total possible.
